Since DH and I moved into our house, the patio/front entrance/garden area needed some major help. 2 weeks ago DH de-weeded the two strips of dirt that have overgrown. Now it’s ready for planting. Almost. I went to Green Thumb after work and picked up some “gro-mulch” to mix in with that dirt. Apparently you can’t just plant anything. There’s a lot of things to consider. Who knew?
A few weeks ago, my mom shared that at the 99 cent store they had a ton of clay pots in a pretty good size. I went there after work and grabbed some, and saw that they had flower bulbs too. I’m not sure how well these will grow, but for 99 cents for a pack of 4 bulbs, I thought what the heck? So, here are some pics and hopefully over the next few weeks the dirt will turn into sprouts which turn into stems which turn into flowers!
Oh, and since I need instant gratification, I also bought some flowers that were already grown. They remind me of mini hibiscus flowers!
