This is a sponsored post. Nothing Bundt Cakes Valencia invited us to try out their cakes and no monetary compensation was given. My opinion, as always, is honest.
Do you remember that scene in My Big Fat Greek Wedding where Ian’s mom brings a bundt cake as a dessert, and Toula’s mom & aunt try to “fix it” by sticking a plant in it? That was probably my first time I heard about a bundt cake. Thank goodness the Nothing Bundt Cakes look nothing like that bundt cake. (but I bet if you ask, they’ll put a flower in it. hee hee) These are delicious and topped with their amazing frosting. Owners Jennifer & Zachary opened the Valencia location last November that is located in the Kohl’s/Whole Foods shopping center.
Each year, as friend’s get older, and the milestone birthdays are fast behind us (I’m not even going to mention the next decade I’ll be ringing in), I have a harder time trying to figure out what to give them. I feel like getting together in honor of their day, deserves something to open. But what? We’re at an age where we can buy something if we like it. You know what you might not buy for yourself? Cake. Bundtlets & Bundtinis to be specific. Nothing Bundt Cake has plenty in their case to grab and go, but feel free to allow for some more time to grab some of their great gift items. My favorite is the Batter Finger. And – spoiler alert – it might just end up on your gift if your birthday is anytime soon.
Nothing Bundt Cakes has 10 flavors that are always on the menu. Their top 3 are Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip and White Chocolate Raspberry. I have now had all three and they are all so good. The cakes are moist, and the tiny chocolate chips in the Red Velvet are a welcomed treat. They also have 8in and 10in cakes that are for larger gatherings. They also can use two different frosting techniques! Call ahead (or order online at least 24 hours in advance) to have your cake frosted & ready to go to the party. For additional charge they can also add decorations to dress it up.
The Bundtinis are available for purchase by the dozen and are slightly larger than your average cupcake, and can be dressed up for the occasion. NB Valencia also carries kits with liners & flags to help match the party’s theme!
Every month there is a featured flavor. At times the flavor is available on menu for 2 months. The featured flavor for March & April is Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. My husband will LOVE THIS. The cake was delicious and each bite reminded me of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. I know I’ll have to make a trip back to grab him a Bundlet (or two).
Upon our departure, Zachary & Jennifer provided us with the Lemon & Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bundtlets. These can feed 1-2 people. My Lemon was mislabeled as it only was enough of a serving for me. whoops! Aubrey and Jon had the Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Between each bite, Aubrey kept saying to herself “Chocolate cake? I LOVE chocolate cake. Yum yum Chocolate Cake” (oh man, are we in trouble.)
In speaking with Jennifer, she said they are very committed to giving back to the community. They can host your team or school fundraiser to receive a portion of the proceeds, as well as participate in charity auctions. Feel free to contact and speak with Jennifer about setting something up for your charity, school, church, or sport! You can also visit their website to check out the menu options and place your order for pickup!
Thank you both, so much, for having members of the SoCal Lady Bloggers in your shop to sample and learn about your business!
Yum! What a delicious treat!
Wow, these bundt cakes look scrumptious! My dad’s birthday is coming up so I think I’ll be going here to get his cake.
That was the first time I heard of bundt cakes too! Now I see them everywhere. This looks like a really cute bakery.
I’m in! I’m in! I want them all.
