I need a 12 step program for CVS. I can’t help picking up some new items whenever I receive some of their rewards cash. I had a lot the other day – 3 PLUS a 20% off coupon and I saw some fun items to try. And you get to hear all about them!
Garnier BB Cream (Fair to Light)
I bought the Garnier BB cream before, but wasn’t a fan of how greasy it felt after I applied it. At the time, there were not many options. But now? TONS! I couldn’t believe all the brands that are trying their hand at BB cream. I’m a sucker for great packaging so I went with this Olay BB cream. So far, I’m really liking it. It gives just enough tint and doesn’t feel greasy after it sets (usually a few minutes). With my trouble spots (read: acne. blech) I apply a bit of concealer after. I’ve gone out of the house and I don’t feel completely naked with my skin. I don’t like leaving the house without makeup on. Call me crazy.
Covergirl Flamed Out mascara (Very Black)
Vera Sweeney is a fantastic blogger, half the brains behind Getting Gorgeous. I attended their event at BlogHer last year and I’ve been a follower on Twitter since then. Only recently did I discover her Instagram feed and she posted a photo of this mascara, and a photo of her lashes after.
Wow. They were amazing. So I bought my own. And it’s really impressive. If I don’t curl my lashes, it still makes them look great! I apply about 2-3 coats and they don’t look clumpy. Just beautiful. (if I do say so myself)
Here’s the video I posted on Instagram displaying both products:
Now on to the other items in the photo:
Revlon ColorStay (Ultimate Suede gloss and Lipliner)
The gloss is in 025 Socialite and the liner is Blush. The gloss does stay on for a decent amount of time and even through drinking from water bottles or my coffee tumbler. I like this color ok, but I’m not sure I’ll keep it as I have another color (also by Revlon but not a ColorStay product). It does provide just a bit more color than nude lips which I like. They did have a brighter coral/pink color that I want to try out, so I might exchange it for that one. The lipliner is not in a great color for me. It’s too pink and I definitely need to bring that back.
But, that’s why I love the exchange/return policies on beauty items at CVS! No worry about taking home a new color because if I hate it (or don’t like the product at all) I can bring it back with my receipt for no hassle.
Essie (Big Spender)
I love Essie polish and I love pinks. This has a bit of sparkles in it, but nothing too flashy. Perfect for my toes!
Do you have an addiction to CVS? What are some items that happen to fall into your cart consistently??
