It seems like whenever the girls and I want to go out, we go somewhere a bit far. Or super local. This last girls night out we wanted to explore a new part of a local spot – Downtown Los Angeles. We rented a hotel room for the night so we could have fun and be responsible. A quick check on Expedia pulled up a special promo for the Millennium Biltmore (affiliate link) and it was walking distance to a few good restaurants and bars.
Katie pulled up an option for dinner – Bottega Louie – and wow it didn’t disappoint.
Bottega Louie is a fantastic little spot. It’s also home to a sweet selection of macarons, tarts, cakes and a ton of other items to satisfy your sweet tooth. They also have a bar and seating area to either grab a quick bite, or utilize it or their long wait. We had to wait about an hour but it was no problem with a selection of appetizers as well as great cocktails.
After we were seated at the table we were given some tasty bread and room temp butter (my favorite!!)
Dinner was amazing. We ordered a variety of items. The caprese salad was my favorite. They skinned the tomatoes and that made a world of difference.
After some amazing conversation and delicious food, we ventured to our first stop – The Edison. You enter through an alley, head downstairs and are instantly brought to the roaring 20s. The decor is amazing and they seem to have some yummy desserts. I saw a lot of chocolate chip cookies & milk being passed around. I’ll have to try that next time.
They had a stage and some flapper dancers did a brief set and it was incredible. Thanks to Katie for snapping a pic!
We ended up leaving and trying to hit up the Library but tere was a long line an we weren’t up to reliving our early 20s. So back to the hotel we went here we stayed up way too late catching up. Sunday morning it was back to reality for us. I love our getaways and can’t wait for the next!!
