So recently I had my work schedule swapped and now I go in the office in the mornings. 5:50am is REALLY early to wake up. Jon, Aubrey, and I are out the door before 7:30am. It’s been interesting figuring out how exactly to get everyone ready and out.
And then Jon said –um. So how is this going to work with 2 kids?. Oof. We’re figuring out all our routines pretty easily – but that’s with 3. Not 4. I’ll be going back to work mid October – right when we start Aubrey in preschool. And I’m scared to think of getting everyone out on time. Especially if its been a long night with nursing or teething. Thank goodness for coffee! And I can go back to full strength!!
How long did it take you to adjust your routines with a new baby in the mix?
Oof, it does seem overwhelming but I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Necessity is quite compelling.
I’ll let you know if we ever get it figured out. Colin is 3 and Brennan is 5 and I still can’t get out the door on time! Ha! No, it’s not that bad…they do keep me on my toes though. Mornings start out long before I ever get to work though. I’m still trying to decide if it was easier to have a baby and a toddler or 2 toddlers. Now they are a little independent, but I’m constantly breaking up fights. At least you won’t have 2 boys with a 24/7 wrestling match at your house 😉
