Once upon a time I really wanted to be a wedding planner. I actually have done a wedding, with my BFF, for one of her BFFs (who is now also one of my friends!). We were brilliant at it because we thought up of everything we might need, and seemed to have everything on hand as things popped up. I suppose that is the mark of a good wedding planner – always being prepared. My purse is also like that. It actually is a Mom thing, because ask any mom for something totally random and chances are, we have it. The bottom line with both of these situations is always having something on hand even if you don’t need to use it all the time.
While I’ve mixed up my skincare routine and have severely limited the breakouts I have all the time, I am still struggling with monthly surprises of a zit here and there and I’ve always been notorious for picking at them. When I took my skincare quiz with Pevonia a few months ago, I did answer about having breakouts every now and then. When they provided me with a box of items to try out, I was super happy to find something for acne.
Don’t be misled by the Teen part of the SpaTeen blemish b-gone stick. This is amazing. I’ve been using it for anything that pops up and it is super strong & quick to get rid of them before I even have the chance to pick at them. You can use it twice a day (I would apply twice only if it was a super huge zit that was starting to sprout up). You barely need much to apply and so the tube lasts quite a bit of time. And at $22, it’s really a steal.
The next item that I live for is their hydrating sunscreen. Do you remember that one video that went viral a few months ago (or maybe a year) with showing skin through a special camera lens to display all the sun damage we have? They even had small kids and their faces showed signs. At the end, the folks applied a sunblock and the same lens showed how after the application, your skin was literally black with potential for the sun’s rays to penetrate it. Ever since then, I’ve only been using a moisturizer with SPF. Some of the ones in the past I had were about SPF 15 but this is SPF 30. It goes on light enough to feel great under your makeup, and still offers lots of hydration. I’ve been using it daily for the past two months and I still have a lot more to use within the bottle.
