Thinking of Others

The Traditions We Didn't Mean To Make - Carter's Holiday Selections

Aubrey is an extremely lucky little girl who has two younger brothers to run around with, play trains with, and ride bikes with.  But she’s always been wanting something else – a little sister to dress alike with, play dolls with, and I imagine, later on, get pedicures with.  While a little sister is not in the cards for Aubrey, she’s very lucky to have a sweet little girl cousin who will already be wearing matching pajamas with Aubrey on Christmas.

This Christmas, in addition to matching pink pajamas – we also got something special for her to open up Christmas eve.  We’ve been working hard to teach the kids the importane of thinking of others – especially during the holidays.

Aubrey helped me wrap up the gift for her cuzzy after she inspected it to see all the things it could do.  She enjoyed unbuttoning the sparkly tutu and zipping up and down the purple heart.

She saw that the soft plush princess had a jeweled crown hidden within her super hero mask.

She was very excited to be a helper with each stage of the gift wrapping.  Every step was prompted with the usual 5 year old response – oh. I can do that.  And she did.  She took out just enough tape and used the jagged edge to tear each piece before placing it on the box.

She helped cut the piece of paper to just the right size to fit the Super Hero Princess in her bed

Preschool has taught her so much – it amazes me.  She took great instruction and I helped fold and secure the sides of the box.  Before I knew it, we were done and it’s one of the few presents under our tree.  I have such a long to do list to wrap up so many things.  But, I might have found the perfect helper.

Aubrey will no doubt be showing her little cuzzy what her new Super Hero Princess Doll can do in a few days. And I’m sure Luke will take the doll and show her how it can fly through the air or take a ride on one of his trains.  They’re always ready to teach the little ones how toys work.

The Madame Alexander Super Hero Princess Doll comes in three options for your daughter, niece, granddaughter or friend.  They’re a great price point at under $30 for each doll.  Please visit their website for more information  or find them on social media for more information.
