Things I Dig

It’s a new year, and time for some new things I dig!!!!

Sephora Deluxe Fragrance Sampler

Each year, with my dad’s side of the family, we draw names instead of buying every family gifts (there’s 9 kids in his fam, plus spouses, and now nieces & nephews are in it too).  Every year it’s always a wonder what to get for folks.  This year, my aunt had my name.  I really didn’t know what to ask for.  But her daughter told her to get me this. It’s pretty cool. Inside are samples of perfumes from different types of scents – floral, clean, musky, etc.  You get to try whatever you like, and then there’s a coupon/certificate thing you take to Sephora for a full-size version of the perfume. Neat, huh?  I’ve chosen to get the Bliss one. It’s really a yummy scent! (and different than the ones I already own. Venturing out of my comfort zone!)

Another gift Jon and I received was a 1 year membership to Netflix.  Now the COOL thing about Netflix is their instant downloads! It covers a lot of television series, and some movies.  Jon already downloaded the Netflix app on his iPad and that’s a cool way to view it! I’ll have to see if it works for iPhones. If so, I’m using that when we go to Costa Rica! (while in the airport….not on the plane).

Hmmm. Well this turned into a “see what melissa got for christmas” blog.  I didn’t mean to do that.

To balance it out, one non-christmas gift related item.

I signed up last year, but really started using it after the holidays.  I used it to book our travel with Travelocity (earned 1% back), Staples (earned 4% I think), Sephora (3%) and a few others.  This quarter I’ve already earned $41.  Sign up. It’s worth it.

LOL Be11a – Did you read the text under the pic?? It is the same one from Sephora and I chose Bliss. 🙂

Love the Sephora sampler idea – I’ll have to check that out. And what a great way to give a personalized gift without making the decision FOR someone else. And (of course) we also love Netflix – the new job there is why we just moved to Northern California!
