Some days I look out our big windows and wish we had more seasons in SoCal. I get a tinge of jealousy as my friends back east post photos of snow flurries and big snowmen. As they say – the grass is always greener (or buried under 3 feet of snow) on the other side. Winter is very shortlived in SoCal. It starts later than most states and we can start wearing our flip flops again before you can say Do You Wanna Build A Snowman. Aubrey even pointed out a lone flower growing in the midst of our dirt mound in the backyard – Spring is almost here.
Spring means new growth, new beginnings, and re-starts. Spring brings bright colors into our wardrobes, softer colors to our makeup. We put away the dark berries and glittery shadows that are perfect for the holiday season. I love buying new makeup for the season – but one constant is always keeping my skin in tip top shape since it’s the foundation of all of it. Last week my mom, Ryan and I headed to Walmart to stock up on a wide assortment of stuff. Our carts left full of some items for my new niece’s arrival in spring, dance outfits for Aubrey, and some new products by Bioré .
I’ve uncovered a lot of amazing stuff this new ingredient can do (thanks to the awful stomach bug this winter!) and it helps get stuff CLEAN. So having it be part of the new Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser means cleaner skin that will be perfect for a more natural look with makeup. Winter changes my skin and it becomes more combination in terms of my T-zone and the rest of my face. After just the first use I noticed how much smoother my skin was. But the amazing item is the Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub. Oh my that stuff smells good and makes your face feel amazing after. It’s pretty cool. You pour some into your hand, add some water, and apply it to your damp face. It fizzes!
After my face was clean and dry, I applied my face moisturizer with SPF and a simple spring makeup look with only 4 beauty products – an illuminating foundation to add a great glow, black eyeliner to pop the eyes a bit, great mascara and a bit of gloss.
Oh hello Paw Patrol bandaid
The power of the baking soda cleanser really helps bring out the spring glow we all love! So Spring – any time you want to come for good, I’m ready for you!
