Parents, I want you to envision something with me. You have your adorable toddler, who is tiny and still has the little chunky hands & indents on their knuckles. You give them a bath after dinner, get them in snuggly pajamas, kiss them goodnight and put them to bed. You wake up in the morning, change their diaper and put on their freshly washed outfit they’ve worn time and time again…only to realize they grew 3 inches from when you kissed them last night, and when they woke you up this morning.
How is that possible???
Now, you remember that you have to change out their straps on their car seat. But you’re running late in the morning and you know it’s a safety thing to leave the straps at the wrong height. And after thinking maybe just this one time you have a flashback to the horrific images you see pop up on Facebook now and then with car accidents and you realize, no, it cannot wait.
So you take out the car seat, try to remember how you undo the straps, and accidentally remove the wrong one. You fix it, but realize a strap is twisted. You’re frustrated, late, and your toddler is probably running around screaming or swatting at the cat, or who knows what. And you think…
There has to be a better way!
I’m here to share, THERE IS!!!
I received this Safety 1st Advance SE 65 Air + Infant car seat for Luke, but after installing it, I realized the best feature EVER would come in as a great example with Aubrey. At the top of the car seat, there’s a release button to press and pull up or push down on the entire back of the car seat that she’s sitting against. This causes the back harness to go up and down WITHOUT REMOVING ANY STRAPS. Your kid grows 4″ overnight? No big deal. You offer to take a friend’s kid on a trip that is also shorter than your oldest? No big deal. 2 seconds is all it’ll take to get this safely adjusted to the right level for any child within the weight parameters.
This car seat is a must have for any grandparents that might have to step in and pick up a little one from school. My mother in law had one car seat to share between 3 grand kids. That’s a lot of adjusting of straps if she had to grab Aubrey or later on grab one of the older grandsons. Most places sell the Safety 1st Advance SE 65 Air + Infant car seat for around $150 which is a great price for such an adjustable car seat. You can read up on all the features on Safety 1st’s site, but I figured I’d share the one I found most relevant!
We grabbed the Twist of Citrus and I love the colors. It can also be used with an infant and had an insert that was the polka dot/splatter style on the side of the headrest. We put this one inside Jon’s car, which is a small 3 door Hyundai Veloster and there’s still plenty of room between this and the passenger seat.
Oh, forgot one small thing,
