We’re less than a month away before we learn what we’re having – boy or girl. For fun, I decided to post this pic on Instagram to see what people had ideas about to figure it out ahead of time.
As you can imagine, I got a few comments with ideas. I tested all but one, I pee too much in the middle of the night to have first morning urine to add baking soda to it (But if you do – fizz means boy, flat means girl) But, here’s all the input I got, and what my response is after it.
Needle test – Thread a needle and have someone hold over your belly. If it goes back & forth, it’s a boy. Circles, it’s a girl. My result: GIRL
Acne test: Sprouting acne during pregnancy can mean girl. Gorgeous complexion can mean boy. My result: GIRL (and lovely acne)
Chinese Gender Chart: I used this one through BabyCenter. My result: GIRL
Ramzi Method: Read about it here. It basically determines gender by a 6-8week ultrasound to see the position of the placenta. Placenta on the left is girl, right is boy. You hold the US pic in front of you (back of pic against your stomach) to get the accurate left/right (if transvaginal). My result: GIRL
Eyelid test: This one my friend Katie told me about. I still don’t really get it. But I sent her pics and she said that it’s a GIRL. LOL.
Head shape: This one was from Halleigh. I also don’t get it too much, but something about the forehead. The pic wasn’t too good of a profile shot, but she (and her sister) guess 80% GIRL. LOL
So, All signs point to girl. We’ll find out next month for sure!
My overall input on gender? I feel pretty much the same as I did with Aubrey. Puking just as much, same amount of acne. And feeling in the heart that it’s a girl. So that’s how I’m basing things.
I have a feeling that it is a little girl too!
I am a firm believer in that needle and thread test. I’m definitely saying girl. Can’t wait to find out for sure
I’m curious to know what the anatomy scan says now. Everyone in the world told me I was having a girl and I had a boy (didn’t find out at my anatomy scan). Whatever gender, I’m sure Aubrey will love being a big sister!

Thanks Melissa! The anatomy scan with Aubrey was pretty awesome. We had already found out gender at a reg appt the week before but it was confirmed. So same thing this time – except the anatomy scan is first. So crazy we’re already at this point!!
