NaBloPoMo – My Mom

For the entire month of February, I will be participating in NaBloPoMo – National Blog Posting Month – where I write a post a day, based on the prompts from @BlogHerBlogging.

My mom is probably one of the best cooks you’ll ever meet.  She prides herself in trying some new dishes {although more often than not, it’s during a holiday celebration, and most of use –me included – get mad that she skips the traditional dishes}.  But there’s her usual staples all of us drool over – Twice Baked Potatoes, Tri-Tip, Stuffed Cream Puffs, and lasagna.  And with every get together, there is always a scrambling to steal any leftovers. But not to worry, there’s always enough.  I usually freeze stuff but she’s not a fan of that.  But, as I like to say, the freezer stops time!!!

Oh and for your birthday – she makes your fave meal.  Jon, my sister, and I each have our own. But it does usually involve the Twice Baked Potatoes. And no matter how long they sit out, the inside is STILL like hot molten lava! Mmm. I think I might need some more of those. Jon’s birthday is in 19 days :o)

Love it! Isn’t it funny that there’s always those special dishes that you just have to have the way mom makes them? 🙂 I had chicken tacos for my birthday for years and years.
