Last week we celebrated my sister and her upcoming baby girl with a beautiful shower! My family is quite creative so between my mom, aunt, cousin, and me, we had some awesome DIY creations. I’ll be sharing more on some of those tutorials later but today I have a few photos and a vlog to share!
The shower had a Sweet Pea theme and our colors were various shades of pink, gold, and green. We couldn’t figure out what style we wanted the cake to be – but in a search on the web we found a design similar to this. Joeleen with A Sweet Design is amazing and made the cake perfect. I love her addition of the gold dotted lines on the last chevron “ribbon.”
Y’all know how I love me some bling, and I couldn’t leave the Mommy To Be crown untouched. My mom bought it for my sister and planned to crystal it herself. But I told her I’d take care of it. Added some Peridot and Light Pink Swarovski crystals. We only used it for a few photos but it was brilliantly sparkly!
My mom, cousin & her boyfriend created the Sweet Pea Banner and it was the perfect touch to decorate the space at Gordon Biersch in Burbank. My cousin also made all the arrangements and the frozen peas added a great incorporation of the theme. She has a trick for keeping those tulips looking awesome, but she didn’t share. Trade secret! (she worked in a flower shop before!)
On the table is also the baby shower corsage we made for her. We had a bunch of ribbons in different colors, textures, and sheen. At the very end, my cousin created little pea pods to place on top.
Here’s some action shots of the event!
