Keep Them Cool With Hasbro Water Toys

While we’re currently experiencing our “spring” here in SoCal with moderate temps, I know we’ll be back up in the 90s by the middle of the month.  I want to spend as much time outside as humanly possible but that means coming up with some ways to keep Aubrey cool because, hello, we reach 95* by 9am during the summer.

Hasbro sent a box of goodies to Aubrey this past week, and while most will be great summer toys, I had to open up the Mr. Potato Head right away. (Please tell me you had one growing up too? We never had Mrs. Potato Head. Just Mr.)   They have a few at her preschool and she knew what to do, including adding some “sunglasses” to his face.  I wonder when she’ll try putting these on Butters (our cat)?  He’s surprisingly patient with her.

A lot of the new toys for Summer include great outdoor beat-the-heat toys to keep kids cool.  I remember having lots of fun with squirt guns since we didn’t have a pool at our home.  Here’s a few new toys that you can pick up at your favorite retailer for fun outdoor play.  Some are available now, some coming out soon. So keep checking back!

Nerf Rebelle Dolphina Bow Blaster Nerf Rebelle Super Soaker Dolphina Bow ($16.99, ages 6 & up) (also available at Hasbro Toy Shop online)

No strings needed! Simply push the handle forward and pull back to release a stream of water.

Super Soaker Tri Strike Crossbow water blaster

Super Soaker Tri Strike Crossbow Water Blaster ($24.99, ages 6 & up) (also available at Hasbro Toy Shop online)

Have a large backyard? This Crossbow soaker shoots up to 35 feet!  Pump to fire a long blast and you can also deploy the two blast arms for triple the water streams.

Elmo Bath Adventure Steamboat

Elmo Bath Adventure Steamboat ($15.99, ages 1 year & up)

This is one of the other items Hasbro sent over.  Since the water guns are a bit too grown up for Aubrey, this will be a great companion for the kiddie pool we will have set up.  She loves boats, loves Elmo, so this is a perfect toy for her AND for Luke.  The boat comes apart into 4 pieces to use as different water play items.

Thank you, Hasbro, for sending over the toys for Aubrey!
