Flying

So here we are, 38 weeks in, and 2ish more to go. When you find out you’re pregnant, you fast forward to being already a few weeks into it. It’s basically a freebie. So now, with barely any time left, I suppose those freebie moments are catching up.

I started making a to-do list before I started maternity leave as a way to make sure I remembered everything I needed to do. I’ve done most of it. Laundry – done. Dresser – organized & filled. Closet – cleared out {including vacuuming-sealing my wedding dress almost 3 years later}. Meals – cooked and frozen. Car seat – installed.

But I just can’t help feeling like there are still a million things to do. But they’re all small details. And isn’t it true that the devil is in the details? I’m sure every new first time mom feels that way. How did you cope? Did you find yourself laying awake at night with thoughts consuming your mind? It reminds me of wedding planning. I was an active member on theknot.com and someone said to always leave a notepad around and that way you can write down your thoughts so you wouldn’t forget. It came in quite helpful.

Except when you’re wedding planning you don’t have a basketball growing under your pjs and find it much harder to get up and waddle to the notepad to write your thoughts down. So I suppose that won’t work. Plan B I guess!

So the last two weeks are upon us and who knows. Next week I could be posting a completely different update. But for now, I’m 38 weeks pregnant and waiting :)

I can’t wait to see what she looks like either! We talk about if she’ll have hair – or what color eyes – whose nose she’ll have. So many things to wait and see!

It sounds to me like you are ready :)
Now take some time for yourself and relax because as soon as she arrives it will be all about the baby!
