I know I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve always had a more productive time doing anything while listening to music. I remember in college I would prop myself up on my bed with headphones, my walkman (so retro!) and blast the music while I’d work on some last minute papers. Almost 15 years later, I still love to have a good playlist on some sort of portable device blasting. Well, blasting isn’t exactly what I’d call it if you are using the speakers on your iPhone or iPad. An external speaker is truly the only way to really rock it out while working.
It’s no secret that we’ve been busy packing & moving to our forever home. The JBL Charge 2 portable speaker is such an awesome gift for the music lover because the sound is AMAZING. We let Luke play DJ after Aubrey picked the Frozen soundtrack to listen to during a pack-up of our bedroom. Have you ever seen a toddler belt out Let It Go? It’s so adorable. Even better if you’re dressed for the part.
I’m a geek when it comes to tech items but when this arrived, it was Jon that was the first to comment on how cool it was. I wasn’t home to open it first (darn!) but he paired it with Bluetooth on his iPhone and later I was able to set it up with mine AND my mac computer! But want to know one of the coolest things I think it offers? Let’s say, a song of Jon’s came one and I was NOT digging it. (which happens often as we do not have the same taste in music). I can use my phone’s playlist, hit play, and it’ll stop his song and play mine. HOW AWESOME IS THAT! I’m sure that’s not exactly what JBL had in mind when they created the Social Mode, but it works well to solve some of my problems.
With a house full of music lovers in completely different genres, it’s nice to be able to switch it out so easily. Aubrey and Luke have a playlist on my phone full of kid songs. One of our favorites are songs from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and here is Luke acting out the very end of the Hot Dog song. You lift your arms up and say problem sooooollllllved – Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog!
Since our first charge, we’ve had our room packing party, bedtime getting ready party, and a kitchen packing party and the battery is still going strong. 12 hours of wireless music can keep ANY party going long after bedtime, which is about 8pm for us. And since pretty much anything I buy online has to come with free shipping, happy to share JBL has you covered too (and free returns if by some reason you’re not as big a fan as we are). And if you need some help, in general, finding the perfect gift for the music lover in your life, JBL has a great gift guide for you! And don’t forget to enter for a chance to win your very own JBL Charge 2! Info is below the dance party video
And I’ll let you in on one of our dance sessions. I remember this song growing up, but Elmo sings it just right!
