How To Create A Diaper Cake TuTu

how to create a diaper cake tutu

For my sister's baby shower {click here to see my recap!} my cousin and I split up some different creative projects to use as decor for the baby shower.  While the theme of the shower was Sweet Pea and used gold, shades of pink, and green, the nursery is along the lines of lavender, gray and white.  For another friend's baby shower I created the  diaper cake and a tutu for her daughter to wear after.  I wanted to do the same for my sis, so I used varying shades of purple tulle. Custom onesie from Etsy. Not sure the seller because my cousin purchased it. Here are the items you'll … [Read more...]

Support Her Dream with the Bravado Dream Nursing Tank

#SupportHerDream Bravado Dream Nursing Tank

I received the Dream Tank from Bravado but my opinions are always honest. Thank you for reading!  This post contains affiliate links. I've shared with you some of my tools for breastfeeding and even some updates on how that's going.  One part of breastfeeding is pumping if you're not near your little one for an extended period of time.  I've done it in the past when I was nursing Luke for some blogging conferences I attended, and with each conference, I learned something new to make the process a little easier. A few weeks ago, I headed to a different conference - one for Scentsy.  I was … [Read more...]

Hearts, Glitter & Pink

valentinesday2

Special thanks to the brands that provided their product to be featured in this post. This post might also contain Affiliate Links.   Happy Valentine's Day! It's really just a normal day around here, sprinkled in with a bit more extra "to do" with hearts and balloons and pink.  Aubrey dressed herself today and chose a pink flamingo tee with heart leggings.  Both kids woke up shouting HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!  We celebrated their day at preschool with a Teddy Bear Parade with decorated boxes.  Growing up I remember getting small treats from my mom to open, and candy from my dad … [Read more...]

Ryan is 1 month old and I'm here to update everyone on our breastfeeding journey!  You recall I had stocked up on all my breastfeeding essentials here.  I forgot to bring the lanolin to the hospital but Jon grabbed it on his first trip home. I religiously applied it after each feeding.  Since I was using the disposable Medela breast pads (available on Amazon), I wasn't afraid of it leaving behind any greasy residue to reusable pads.  My milk came in about 3-4 days in and it seemed a lot quicker than last time.  Because Ryan was so small and his new stomach doesn't handle/need a ton of food in … [Read more...]

Pregnant? You Need This.

Bao Bei Maternity Belly Sport Bra

I should have also included - Pregnant belly and have littles at home already? You need this.  What is it? Literally the best thing I've used this pregnancy and I didn't even get it till the end of it. A few weeks ago, I was just over how much weight I was carrying in my stomach.  Bathtime was torture with the kids because I hated having to bend over and scrub-a-dub-dub them.  I went to Buy Buy Baby and grabbed something that said it offered "support" but really, did not.  I posted it on Instagram and one of my friends tagged Bao Bei Maternity on the post and said I needed to check it … [Read more...]

How To Survive Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding Tools - Medela

I remember when I had Aubrey, I knew very little about self-care during the first few weeks of her life.  I was shocked at what my own body was going through and breastfeeding was uncharted territories.  I've written about our journey with both kids here, but I didn't touch too much on what I found to help me get through those first few weeks initially. I remember being in the hospital after I had Aubrey and having the nurses tell me she had to keep eating.  As far as I was concerned, nothing was coming out of my boobs and eventually the nurse taught me how to express and get some Colostrum … [Read more...]
