My Scentsy Story – my 19 month update

what's it like to be a Scentsy consultant - valencia scentsy consultant

It's been a long time since I've posted an update, or done a video, about how things are going with my Scentsy business! So, it's probably best to share!  One of the biggest things I've accomplished (thanks to ALL my amazing customers and the ladies on my team!!) is earning a vacation!! One of the craziest things with those in Direct Sales is the talk about free trips, free cars, and I always wonder is it really free?  So, here's the thing.  It's not costing me a dime to go.  Scentsy is paying for my air fare, my transportation to/from the hotel, the 4 nights at the hotel (Hard … [Read more...]

Visiting Snow for the First Time

visiting snow for the first time - road trip tools for success

Last month, on a rather last minute decision - we packed up the kids and took a road trip to visit Reno, NV.  Yes, we could have stayed more local and seen snow in SoCal, but we have family & friends in Reno and Jon needed to meet up with some of them for a new project they're working on. Now, traveling with 3 small kids is sort of interesting.  The longest car ride they had was 4 hours to Vegas last summer. I was not about to lose my mind so we decided to split up the drive out to Reno.  Jon and I booked a hotel room just outside of Sacramento and we arrived about 11pm at night on … [Read more...]

Things I Never Thought I’d Worry About

things i never thought i'd worry about

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for taking the time to read and sharing in some of my worries! I remember being newly married, folding laundry on our bed, and joking about how this life I was in felt more like play than reality.  I shared with some friends and I think at that point, I had no idea the worries that would fill my mind as time passed and I got older (or maybe wiser?). I always knew Jon and I would have kids.  But after trying to have our first for what seemed like forever, I then worried that maybe we wouldn't have any. When we had our first - Aubrey - I wondered how I'd … [Read more...]

Solvang ca sunset

Thank you Kia for loaning me this Sorento to cruise around Solvang with! During a group date night in December, the girls all decided we needed a trip away to Solvang, CA for some laughs, good food, and some time away from our kids.  (We love you kids, but we also enjoy eating a hot meal!).  We flipped through our phones, found a weekend, and saved the date.  Counting down the time was exciting and eventually we were ready for our trip!  How do I prepare for a trip? Here, let me share.... The next day we packed up the Kia Sorento SXL and ventured out.  The ladies were pretty impressed … [Read more...]

Multi-tasking Mama Looking for Me Time

multi-tasking mama - netflix streaming binge worthy new shows

I'm a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam for 2017 and excited to share stories each month!  This post may contain affiliate links Being a mom to three littles, working full time, and running 2 side hustles (This blog, and Scentsy), I always had to cut down on a lot of tv time.  I'd find myself putting the kids to bed, sitting on one of our comfy recliners, and turn on the tv.  Before I knew it, it was approaching 10pm and I hadn't even made school lunches. It was on those nights that I started to feel overwhelmed with my to-do lists and I knew something had to give. Sadly, it was the tv. Of … [Read more...]

Are You Sentimental Too?

louis vuitton josephine wallet

As I've grown up, and moved (many times), I've realized I am a bit sentimental about things. With each move, I've uncovered more boxes full of mementos of photographs (totally normal), keychains (not so normal) and baby hair.  This is totally a mom thing. I have a hard time getting rid of these objects even though our garage & closet is overflowing. Each item takes me back to a different time and place and brings back vivid pictures.  One of the keychains I have is the little photo keepsake you get at amusement parks.  I have 2 that were from an 8th grade trip with my small class.  It … [Read more...]
