Multi-tasking Mama Looking for Me Time

multi-tasking mama - netflix streaming binge worthy new shows

I'm a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam for 2017 and excited to share stories each month!  This post may contain affiliate links Being a mom to three littles, working full time, and running 2 side hustles (This blog, and Scentsy), I always had to cut down on a lot of tv time.  I'd find myself putting the kids to bed, sitting on one of our comfy recliners, and turn on the tv.  Before I knew it, it was approaching 10pm and I hadn't even made school lunches. It was on those nights that I started to feel overwhelmed with my to-do lists and I knew something had to give. Sadly, it was the tv. Of … [Read more...]

Last Minute Ideas – Astronaut Birthday Party

This post contains affiliate links. All photos courtesy of Becca Rillo Photography - she's an amazing Los Angeles Wedding photographer. You need her. Every child of ours has an amazing first birthday party.  It's a chance for our family to see how much they've grown, and a chance for us to go all out and have our family & friends over.  Aubrey's first birthday was never shared on here (but you can catch all the details here), Luke's was an awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle theme (perfect for summer!) and Ryan's theme had us stumped. Of course it was already the first week of November … [Read more...]

Are You Sentimental Too?

louis vuitton josephine wallet

As I've grown up, and moved (many times), I've realized I am a bit sentimental about things. With each move, I've uncovered more boxes full of mementos of photographs (totally normal), keychains (not so normal) and baby hair.  This is totally a mom thing. I have a hard time getting rid of these objects even though our garage & closet is overflowing. Each item takes me back to a different time and place and brings back vivid pictures.  One of the keychains I have is the little photo keepsake you get at amusement parks.  I have 2 that were from an 8th grade trip with my small class.  It … [Read more...]

Valentine Heart Garland with Pipe Cleaners and Beads

Valentine's Day is right around the corner! While some are out shopping for wine and roses, one of my favorite parts of the holiday is making fun crafts with our kids. I've been working really hard to let go and let the mess happen.  (It's bound to happen, right?)  I love watching them hand me their finished masterpiece with their faces beaming with pride.  I also know that our home is bursting with arts & crafts from preschool, so we've started to share the love and some of these Valentine's Day Crafts will be shared with our family!  How much better does it get? I've rounded up 10 of my … [Read more...]

10 Best Soup Recipes

top 10 best soup recipes

This post contains affiliate links Now that the holidays are over, I think we can all agree that we are ready for spring. Unfortunately, we have to wait a few months for blooming flowers and spring-like weather. (And yes, it's actually going to be cold, gloomy & rainy in SoCal for a few weeks!!) The best part about having a few months of winter left is being able to eat delicious and hearty soup. I love being able to use my BlendTec  to create a warm and tasty soup for our family. Below I've rounded up 10 of my favorite soup recipes for you. Copycat Panera Bread Tomato Bisque … [Read more...]

Bringing the Past to Life – Medieval Times

bringing the past to live - medieval times - buena park

This is a sponsored post. Special thanks to Medieval Times in Buena Park for hosting our family Jon and I have been together since our young 20s.  Just before we both turned 30 - we talked about what plans we wanted to do.  Aubrey was a tiny baby and we weren't sure what to do.  All of our friends started having big celebrations but we knew with a newborn, much wasn't a possibility.  Jon's one wish was to head to Medieval Times Buena Park with all our friends.  And each year, it's pretty much been the same wish but it hasn't happened. Until now. We were invited to attend the live … [Read more...]

Simple Homemade Baby Food

homemade baby food - using our blendtec

This post contains affiliate links. Our third baby.  My how things have changed and how much we had to work to simplify our routines, baby gear, and more.  We got rid of so many items (that we loved!) after we moved since we were done having kids that we really had to evaluate if we wanted to go back to that or try other methods. I'll be honest, I've never been one to just provide our baby with table scraps from our meals to teach them how to eat (also known as Baby Led Weaning).  We tried once for Luke and I was absolutely terrified.  Since we have kids all over the place now - I needed … [Read more...]

Thinking of Others

Madame Alexander Super Hero Princess doll - Thinking of others

This is a sponsored post. Thank you KidzVuz and Madame Alexander for the opportunity to share our story & opinions with my readers. Aubrey is an extremely lucky little girl who has two younger brothers to run around with, play trains with, and ride bikes with.  But she's always been wanting something else - a little sister to dress alike with, play dolls with, and I imagine, later on, get pedicures with.  While a little sister is not in the cards for Aubrey, she's very lucky to have a sweet little girl cousin who will already be wearing matching pajamas with Aubrey on Christmas. This … [Read more...]

Blogging Efficiently – Revamping Old Content

blogging efficiently - revamping old content - coschedule review update

This is an unsolicited review of CoSchedule. I've been using CoSchedule for 13 months and wanted to provide an update in exchange for a discounted subscription.  I've been a blogger longer than I've been a mother - or a wife for that matter. I started back in early 2008 to document all the fun items I found during the wedding planning phases of life.  It was all in fun to document - had no big plans for any monetization or even knew about that as an option.  During our journey to get pregnant with Aubrey, I started a second private blog to use as a venting place for the struggles and the … [Read more...]
